The Masaan actor Shweta Tripathi, who got engaged in April to actor-rapper boyfriend Chaitnya Sharma aka SlowCheeta, is all set to walk down the aisle with him on June 29. With just two days left to her marriage, wedding ceremonies are going on in full swing in Goa. The celebrations kicked off with mehendi ceremony that took place at rapper Chaitnya’s residence in Mumbai. The mehendi ceremony was an intimate affair with the couple’s close friends and family members in attendance.

Ahead of her marriage, the actress has opened up about her marriage preparations. The actress also revealed as to why she chose Goa as her wedding destination. Speaking of marriage preparations, Shweta told Hindustan Times, “I don’t think you can ever be through with preparations for a wedding and an exam. Last minute revision is a must!.” Further, while talking about choosing Goa’s as her wedding destination, she said, “Goa has always been the perfect runaway getaway for us. We’ve gone there every little chance we’ve got and getting married here is just perfect. The shaadi is the first function and then it’s just parties, there’s after-party, pool party and pyjama party. We got to give them what they want!.”

It is being said that the Masaan actress does not want a regular Indian wedding and she makes sure that it is not just filled with rituals. They will neither have a sangeet ceremony nor a reception. The couple admits that they are bored with the usual rituals after attending too many weddings of their friends lately. Previously, Mumbai Mirror quoted Chaitnya, as saying, “We want our guests to have a really good time so there will be a mehendi, followed by a party on June 27 for colleagues and friends who won’t be able to make it to Goa. The wedding will lead to a pool and pyjama party on June 30.”
