Popular Television actor Rubina Dilaik and Abhinav Shukla got married on June 21, 2018 in a beautiful ceremony in Shimla. Their wedding ceremony that was an intimate affair with just family and close friends in attendance was nothing less than a fairytale. After their dreamy Shimla wedding, Rubina Dilaik and Abhinav Shukla threw a lavish reception party for their friends and family in the actor’s hometown Ludhiana. For the reception, the Choti Bahu actress wore a shimmering silver gown, while Abhinav wore a blue kurta and a red Nehru jacket.
Giving us sneak peek of it, Rubina posted a picture on her Instagram page. Rubina shared a picture wherein the newly married couple are seen striking a perfect pose. She captioned the picture as, “Standing in the light of your Halô.” The pictures from the couple’s wedding reception are doing rounds on the social media. In the stills, the couple are seen spending quality time with their near and dear ones. Needless to say, Rubina and Abhinav’s wedding reception was no less than a glitzy affair. The duo will also host a grand reception in Mumbai on June 28 and it will be a grand affair with the who’s who of TV industry in attendance.

Rubina and Abhinav’s wedding ceremony had a mix of Pahadi and Punjabi traditions. Rubina wore a white lehenga that had floral motifs in pink and green. Yards of sheer net dupatta with motifs completed her outfit. Kundan jewellery was her bling of choice. Abhinav was a Punjabi groom in a blue sherwani with a crest, jootis, a shawl and a floral turban. Rubina had earlier mentioned on why they picked Shimla as their wedding destination and said, “We have chosen Shimla for various reasons. To begin with, most of our relatives are settled there. However, the prewedding functions will take place in Mumbai and Ludhiana, which Abhinav’s hometown. We are not going in for an elaborate ritual, as for us, what matters most is the saat phere. We both wanted it to be an outdoor affair. Abhinav, being an adventure junkie, wished to exchange vows amidst the mountains, in the lap of nature. I, too, wanted a day wedding with lots of natural light and greenery around.
