Creating a buzz for the ongoing tension between lead pair Tinaa Datta and Mohit Malhotra, television serial Daayan had landed in unfavourable light owing to which the channel had decided to pull down the show. As reports of Daayan going off-air started surfacing, Tinaa, who had earlier accused Mohit of touching her inappropriately while shooting on sets, came out to clear the air with the claim that the differences between the two have been sorted.

Speaking to IANS on the same, Tinaa said in a statement, “Mohit and I have ironed out the differences. We have concluded to make a new start. I don’t have any issues working with him. Our on-screen chemistry works for the show and (we) shall maintain a professional environment for the betterment of the show.”

Earlier, according to a report in Bollywoodlife, the channel, not appreciative of the entire buzz created due to this episode, had decided to remove the show altogether instead of sorting out the issue or questioning the cast. Putting all speculations of fans to rest, Tinaa said, “I am happy that our audience has liked the show (‘Daayan’) and I am sure this new start will be appreciated by all and will put a rest to any further speculation.”

Starring Pavitra Punia and Hiten Tejwani apart from Mohit and Tina, Daayan is an Indian supernatural drama series created by Ekta Kapoor under Balaji Telefilms. Speaking about the opportunity to work with Ekta, Tinaa shared, “She is a creative producer and every work of her has something unique in it. Her shows are always amazing and it’s great to associate with her.”

Tinaa had recently opened up on the ordeal she faced while being sexually harassed by Mohit on the sets of their TV show, Daayan. The actress had revealed that she had requested the production team of the show to intervene and get the matter sorted as Mohit had been continuously harassing her before everyone on the sets for a long time, despite regular warnings from them and tried to get away by saying that it’s a demand for his role.
