Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt, one of our favourite onscreen jodis, recreated Romeo-Juliet love story recently and the video is just out. Just like the Shakespearean love story, theirs too meets a tragic ending and all for the right reasons. The two actors play lovers in this short clip and their beautiful chemistry is hard to miss.
Just as Alia takes a step ahead to take their relationship to the next level, her move is met with rejection by Varun. Reason? He realizes that his girl has no aversions to littering around. She carelessly throws an empty juice tetra pack on the floor, inviting Varun’s ire. The two actors, who were last seen in Badrinath Ki Dulhania earlier this year, came together for a Clean City Initiative. With this short love story, the two drive home a very important point. Watch the video below.
Varun posted the video just a while back with a message resonating with video ‘when you don’t litter in pardes, then why litter in Swadesh’. Alia too replied to his tweet saying, “Sorry, Romeo. Badlega scene jab India hoga clean.” The message is clear; it highlights our behavior abroad vs. when in the country and asks Indians to be mindful of not littering around.
With Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Swach Bharat Abhiyan, a lot of organizations and celebrities are joining the initiative to bring about awareness and a positive change in the country. Varun and Alia are the latest to join the force. The two have shot a series of videos for the Adar Poonawalla Clean City Initiative and we may get to see a few more interesting clips from the actors in the coming days.
As far as their coming together in a film is concerned, the two will be next seen in Shiddat. Currently, Varun is prepping for October and Alia is prepping for Bhramastra and Gully Boy.
