Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma and Indian Cricketer Virat Kohli have tied the knot in a traditional Hindu ceremony. The couple had a mehendi ceremony followed by the wedding at a resort called Borgo Finocchieto in Buonconvento town in the Province of Siena in Italy. Virat and Anushka did not drop a hint to the world outside about their dreamy wedding as they just didn’t want the paparazzi to pounce on them.
The couple, who managed to keep their wedding a secret and misdirected the media as they wanted a ‘private affair, finally took to Twitter last evening to post a picture from the wedding ceremony and wrote, “Today we have promised each other to be bound in love forever. We are truly blessed to share the news with you. This beautiful day will be made more special with the love and support of our family of fans and well-wishers. Thank you for being such an important part of our journey.” As soon as the news of Virat-Anushka wedding was confirmed, social media was flooded with wishes for the newlyweds.
Celebrities from the B-Town like Sridevi, Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Shahid Kapoor, Anushka’s Dil Dhadakne Do co-star Anil Kapoor, among others began to shower their blessing on the newlyweds. On the work front, Anushka Sharma, who was last seen opposite Shah Rukh Khan in Jab Harry Met Sejal, will begin the next schedule of Anand L Rai’s film with Shah Rukh Khan in the first week of January in Mumbai. The actress will also start prepping for Sui Dhaaga as the shooting for the same starts in February 2018 with Varun Dhawan. Anushka will also be busy with the promotions of her upcoming film Pari, which is slated to release on February 9. On the other hand, Virat will be playing the series in South Africa for 2 months, which includes three Tests, six One Day Internationals (ODIs) and three Twenty20 International (T20I) matches.
