Aamir Khan is all over the minds of the Indian audience due to his break through performance in Dangal. Now we all know that Aamir is that one actor who stands out when it comes to his involvement in the social activities. He sees to it that his films as well as his work outside the films give out some social message and makes full fledged use of him being an icon for many. No again the Dangal star is back with a bang but not for any movie! Yes he is back but for a really noble cause that is ‘Water Cup Challenge’ for the drought affected talukas of Maharashtra.

After receiving tremendous success with the pilot edition of the Satyamev Jayate Water Cup, which created an annual water storage capacity of 1,368 crore litres in three talukas of Maharashtra in early 2016, Paani Foundation launched Satyamev Jayate Water Cup’s second edition in thirty talukas of the state on 3rd January 2017 at a special event in Mumbai amidst the Chief Minister of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis and several leading lights from entertainment and industry.

The video has the music of leading music director duo of the Marathi film industry Ajay-Atul and the lyrics id penned by popular Marathi lyricist Guru Thakur. This musical team gave some of the best musical pieces for the Marathi films and no doubt Mr. Perfectionist roped in the best of the gems of the video.

Also, the video also features some of the most demanding stars from the Marathi  film fraternity including, Sonali Kulkarni, Sai Tamhankar, Sunil Barve, Ajay-Atul, Rinku Rajguru, Akash Thosar, Jitendra Joshi and many others. It has been shot by the director of most loved Marathi blockbuster film ‘Sairat’, Nagraj Manjule. Interestingly Aamir Khan’s wife Kiran Rao has sung the song along with Ajay Gogavle. The Satyamev Jayate Water Cup is essentially a competition between different villages to see who can do the maximum work for watershed management and water conservation in the period of the competition. The top three villages across Maharashtra will get a cash prize of Rs. 50 lakhs, Rs. 30 lakhs and Rs. 20 lakhs respectively.
