The Bejoy Nambiar directorial flick ‘Wazir’ received mixed response on the day of its release. The movie starring Farhan Akhtar and Amitabh Bachchan in the lead roles released on January 8. The opening day did not garner any tremendous figures at the box office but the weekend did. The movie has received a staggering response during the opening weekend.

The thriller movie has garnered Rs. 21.01 crore on its opening weekend. The first day occupancy was just 15 per cent but the weekend did see an upward trend in its box office collection. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh posted the details on the micro-blogging site Twitter. ‘Wazir’ is the first movie released in this New Year. The movie might face a tough time in the weekdays but you never know the game can change anytime. People have praised the performances of the lead stars in the film. Neil Nitin Mukesh, Aditi Raon Hydari, John Abraham and Manav Kaul have played in supporting roles. Let’s wait and watch if ‘Wazir’ sees a growth in box office collection during this week.
