The Bejoy Nambiar directorial flick ‘Wazir’ stars Amitabh Bachchan as Pandit Omkarnath Dhar and Farhan Akhtar as Danish Ali in the lead roles. Aditi Rao Hydari, Neil Nitin Mukesh, John Abraham and Manav Kaul are in the supporting roles. The movie will hit the silver screens on January 8 but our reviewer Maggie Davis is attending a special press show and here is what she had to say!
It is an intense story that will show how life can change within minutes. Danish Ali who was leading a joyous life with his wife Ruhana and daughter Noori might have never thought his professional life can bring everything to a standstill. Panditji and Danish are floating in the same boat but what brings them together is the game of chess. Danish’s daughter Noori went to learn chess to Panditji. Life takes another route when Daanish meets Panditji. But it gets even more interesting when Wazir steps in to change the entire game. We must say, Farhan Akhtar and Neil Nitin Mukesh are outstanding. Farhan’s intense expression, Neil’ villainous avatar will keep you hooked. Amitabh Bachchan has expressed every emotions being in a wheelchair. This movie will show how politics and the game of chess are inter-related.
