‘Meri Aashiqui Tumse Hi’ fame Shakti Arora, who has stolen million hearts with his charm and brilliant performance on television, got candid with one of the leading online portals about his acting career. The handsome hunk is also quite famous for his perfect Bollywood style love story with the air-hostess-turned-actress, Neha Saxena. And when the news broke out about his break up with Neha, it took the internet by storm, and the fans were relieved only after the actor had put the rumours to rest.

Like most in the industry, for Shakti too, acting did not come easily. He says that his first audition was quite challenging. Emphasizing on how the experience was, he adds, it was not just bad but pathetic. He says, “It was at my uncle’s house. He was making a television show. So, I went there and I saw other people auditioning. There was this lady who was auditioning and she was crying and acting. And that was the moment, I thought that acting is not my cup of tea. But still, I gave my first audition. It was not bad, it was pathetic,” adds Shakti.

Looks like the actor’s grand dad has been a major motivation for him. Speaking of what influenced him to get into the acting career, he says, “I used to see my grandfather (filmmaker Chandrashekhar) hosting these parties and events and I used to love that glamour. I would get impressed when I saw those people praising him and his work. So somewhere I wanted to live that life and that is when I thought of acting,” he says. (ALSO READ: What break up?
