Actor-filmmaker Aamir Khan had recently announced his participation in Maharashtra government’s water conservation plan in the presence of state chief minister Devendra Fadnavis. We had told you all about Aamir Khan’s Satyamev Jayate Water Cup with a total prize money of Rs 1 crore, and his Paani Foundation. The actor’s wife Kiran Rao and his ex-wife Reena Dutta are both part of the initiative that is connected to Aamir’s television chat show Satyamev Jayate.
After all the heated intolerance debate when Aamir had said Kiran wants to leave the country as she feels it is not safe anymore for their little son Azad Rao Khan, the Bollywood superstar had to made amends to make the people of this country and the politicians realise that he is still proud to be Indian and is not going anywhere. Aamir had emphasised that what he said was right, but that he is not leaving India, as he was born and brought up here. And he has stuck to his word.
The reason why Aamir is heading abroad now is because of the additional training he requires for some scenes for his forthcoming movie Dangal, where he plays real-life wrestler Mahavir Phogat. Aamir will also be losing all the weight and muscle he gained for his role in Dangal, in order to film the remaining part of the film. He has been saying that in his current form, he is “looking like Gabbar”, as quoted in The Indian Express.
Aamir will most likely return to India next month, ahead of his birthday on March 14. Now, that brings some relief to Aamir’s fans, who were wondering where their favourite actor was headed right after being part of the Make in India event in Mumbai in the presence of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and later his Paani Foundation announcement with the Maharashtra CM.
