It was recently announced that Sanjay Dutt has come onboard for debutant director Aarambhh Singh’s romantic thriller, Malang. The film is expected to go on-floors in December, and the leading lady yet. While the search for the female lead is on, Sanjay is very keen to have Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in the movie. “Yes, Sanjay sir is keen on Aishwarya, we want to replicate their Shabd chemistry in our romantic-thriller. He plays an investigative officer and will require an actress who is physically fit as she is involved in the action too. The idea is not only to keep the audience on the edge of their seats but also give them a new definition of love as Sanjay sir will be seen in a love story after a while,” says Aarambh.

Sanjay was shooting for Omung Kumar’s Bhoomi, and Aarambh was assisting the latter. It is during then Sanjay observed Aarambh. So when he narrated Malang to Sanjay, the actor immediately agreed. “I have always believed in the passion of newcomers and fresh talent. I observed Aarambhh since he was the assisting Omung during Bhoomi. When he narrated Malang to me, I looked at Sandeep and said I am hooked. The layering of my character and the plot, the setting of Varanasi has me most excited about this project.” ALSO READ: Sanjay Dutt gave me a bag containing 2 rifles, hand grenades and bullets, reveals Abu Salem in a statement

As for Aishwarya, she recently signed Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s Fanney Khan that also stars Anil Kapoor. Aishwarya and Anil are re-uniting on the big screen after 17 long years. Their last film together was Hamaara Dil Aapke Pass Hai. And both Anil and Aishwarya are collaborating with Rakeysh for the first time. It’s definitely a casting coup of sorts, and we can’t wait to see the magical pair of Aishwarya and Anil back on the big screen.

And that goes for Sanjay and Aishwarya too. We really hope everything falls into place, and we get to witness the chemistry between Sanjay and Aish yet again.
