Star Plus popular show ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ is always on the headlines for one or the other reason. Recently, there were reports that the makers are planning for a lavish wedding for Naira and Kartik’s wedding. Rapper Badshah was also invited as a special guest on the show. Now, there is a report that a fire broke out on the sets of ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’. According to a report from an entertainment portal, the sets caught fire when the cast was shooting, and the black clothes used for shooting caught fire. It is speculated that short circuit is the reason for fire. It is also said that the situation was under control before it could get worse!

Actor Mohsin Khan, who plays the role of Kartik was not present on the sets while the fire broke out. “Yes, I was not on the sets that time as my scene was not there, but the whole family was present. A fire took place, but it was controlled before the situation got worse,” Mohsin told to India Forums.

This is one show that has always been making headlines. The show made major headlines when its lead actress Hina Khan, who plays the role of Akshara, decided to walk out of the show. Hina was one of the most loved actresses on Indian television, and everyone thought her walking out would affect the show to a  great deal. Sources say that Hina left the show because of tiffs with the makers and also with other co stars on the set. Her exit was shown as an accident in the show.

Two other popular actors, Karan Mehra who played the role of Naitik and Rohan Mehra, who played Naksh also exited the show to participate in the popular reality show Bigg Boss.  While producer Rajan Shahi has been a mentor to both Karan and Hina, their equation changed over the past few years. Now, in an online interview, the producer has opened up about the fallout. He said, “With due respect to both the actors, it is a fact that after Karan left, we could consolidate our position and the TRPs actually increased. After Hina’s exit too, the show has grown. This is not to say that they did not contribute to the show, but we were not able to shoot when those two were a part of the show as they had so much baggage. There were just two-three hours of shooting with the lead actors. Now, even if we are given a choice, the writers wouldn’t want Akshara back.”
