Shah Rukh Khan and Rani Mukerji share a great rapport, be it onscreen or off screen. The two have worked together in numerous films and fans have simply loved their onscreen chemistry. Talking about the kind of roles they have played in the past, there are many, the list is quite huge. Talking about King Khan, he is not just the King of Romance but he also played the role of a perfect family man as well. He has played the role of a father in many of his hit films and looks like he is not shy to do it again, if needed. But how is it connecting to Rani?
When the 51-year-old superstar was asked about how he feels about ageing onscreen Shah Rukh Khan told DNA, “I was a father in ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ (1998). I’m an actor. I’m okay with any character if that makes sense. I will do anything that my role demands.” In fact he even mentioned what he called Rani Mukerji while working with her in ‘Veer-Zaara’ and that happened because his character demanded and nothing else.
Shah Rukh Khan went on to say, “In fact, I called Rani beti in ‘Veer-Zaara’. My character was 65 years old. I was sitting with Rani and calling her beti so why would I have a problem now? I would play it again, if I am required to do it.” So now you know what SRK called Rani Mukerji! And it’s clear he does not have any issue playing any character, it’s just that it should make sense.
