Chelsea managed to defend the lead while Palace could not get past the Blues’ defense till the final whistle. With its third consecutive win, Chelsea remained in fourth place, with 43 points, and five points ahead of fifth-place Arsenal, which was routed by league leader Liverpool 5-1 on Saturday. Whereas, Crystal Palace remains in 14th place in the standings, with 19 points.

Chelsea will take on Southhampton at the Stamford Bridge stadium in their next Premier League which will kick off on January 3, 2019.
