Set a target of 127, India took only 26.5 overs to win the 2nd ODI and take a 2-0 lead in the three-match series. The top scorer was Ambati Rayudu, who made 41 not out. Put into bat, Zimbabwe had been bowled out for 126. It took the Indian bowlers only 34.3 overs to finish the first innings. Yuzvendra Chahal was the pick of the bowlers. He bagged three scalps, conceding 25 runs. It once again wrapped up another consistent show by the Indian bowlers. Zimbabwe have not looked convincing in this series thus far. They have just not been able to hold their own as far as the batting is concerned. They need players who can dig deep and get some sort of a score against their name. The conditions in Harare are not the easiest for batting and that has not helped the Zimbabwean cause. India on the other hand are confident considering their performance and body language in the tournament in general. Their bowlers once again came to the party as far as this second match is concerned. We will wait and watch if Zimbabwe can put up a challenge in the final ODI. It is an important match for Zimbabwe. They have pretty much looked a bit listless in general and they would require something special to turn this around. India will of course not serve them anything on the platter. We will wait and see if Zimbabwe can surprise us or if the pattern continues the way it has been.
