Following Day 10 of Rio Olympics 2016, United States of America (USA) has consolidated its lead in the medal race. The nation has once again proved that in terms of soft physical power, it is second to none. Traditional competitor China is a distant second in the race, with 24 medals behind in the tally. United Kingdom is at the third spot with 39 medals. There is slim possibility that it could surpass China in days to come. As another Olympic games unfold, it will be interesting to see the medal tally of the different countries. It is expected to be a race between US, China and Britain for the top spot. It is important for teams to take an early lead in the medal count because before we know the games can quickly come to an end. Performance in certain events may count for more considering that they may be the showpiece of the games that people come in huge numbers to watch. Every Olympics, one looks at the dark horse, a country that does well from nowhere and does well like no tomorrow. Britain has been that in the past only to establish itself as a powerhouse of later times we assume.
