2nd ODI India vs Australia Adelaide: Ravindra Jadeja nearly injured himself near the boundary while attempting to keep the ball in play. The ball was hit by Glenn Maxwell towards the deep mid-wicket region, he bisected the field to perfection to pick up the boundary in the 37th over. Jadeja was stationed near the ropes, he ran towards his right as the ball hit the ropes and bounced off to hit him in the crotch region. He was lucky to have escaped the injury which could have been worse. Earlier, he had hit bullseye from point to send Usman Khawaja packing. Australia ended with 298/ 9 in their stipulated 50 overs.

Australia scored 93 off the last ten overs as Shaun Marsh hit a brilliant 131 as Maxwell chipped in with a quickfire 48 off 37 balls. Bhuvneshwar Kumar was the pick of the bowlers as he scalped four wickets as Shami picked three.

The Men-in-Blue lost the first contest at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) by 34 runs and the world no.2 side will be looking to regain dominance in the second match. In the do-or-die affair, India will rely heavily on the top three of Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan and skipper Virat Kohli once again, as none of the lower and middle order batsmen, barring former skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni, clicked in Sydney.
