A lethal bouncer by Jasprit Bumrah to Marcus Harris knocked down the opener, thankfully he did not injure himself as he got right up on his toes. The incident happened in the second innings of Australia. The ball was bowled at 142 kmph that hit Harris on his helmet, right on the badge. As soon as this happened, the physio came out quickly to examine. The Indian players – Rahane, Rahul and Pant came up to the batsman to ask if he was alright.

Earlier on Day 3, Kohli brought up his 25th Test century. Kohli (127) became the fastest Indian to register 25 Test centuries, he surpassed Sachin Tendulkar (130), Sunil Gavaskar (138). Kohli also went past Sachin Tendulkar for the highest Test average in SENA countries.

Kohli also equaled Clive Llyod to register most Test tons as captain in Australia, both have four to their name. Kohli is also at No 2 when it comes to scoring most centuries as captain in international cricket, Kohli has 34, whereas Ponting is at the top of the tree with 41.

Kohli also became the fastest to 5000 runs in Test cricket at No 4.

Meanwhile, Australia has a lead of 43 runs going into their second innings, a lead that could prove decisive in the outcome of the match. At the time of filing the copy, Australia was 33/0 after 12 overs.
