2nd Test Australia vs India Perth: Was Virat Kohli out? India skipper’s dismissal starts a new debate on Twitter where fans feel the catch by Peter Handscomb was not clean. The catch brought an end to Kohli’s 25th Test ton. Pat Cummins got Kohli playing a cover drive, something he did successfully during his innings, but on this occasion, the ball came off the edge only to be taken by Peter Handscomb, the soft signal was out hence even after replays showed it was not conclusive the decision stood. It was a lapse in concentration and Kohli was out. Loose drive outside off and the ball flew off the outer edge for the man at second slip to take it. The third umpire’s services were required and he signaled it out as he never had enough evidence to overrule the on-field soft signal, which was out. Would have been interesting had the soft signal been not out.

Here is the video of the dismissal.

Here is how Twitter reacted to the dismissal.

Earlier, with his hundred Kohli (127) became the fastest Indian to register 25 Test centuries, he surpassed Sachin Tendulkar (130), Sunil Gavaskar (138). Kohli also went past Sachin Tendulkar for the highest Test average in SENA countries.
