2nd Test Australia vs India: Eyes shift from Adelaide to Perth for the second Test and the pitch has become the center of attraction. It is a green top and not the traditional WACA wicket, but it is the new Optus stadium and it is a drop-in pitch. Even though the hosts are trailing 0-1 in the series, former Australian leg-spinner Shane Warne feels that Australia has a better chance at Perth, given the nature of the wicket. He also feels the hosts will blow away India. He also hopes Mitchell Starc comes good and gets among the wickets and gets a 10-wicket haul for the match. He also hoped Finch gets a hundred. His post read, “Good luck to both teams in Perth today for the second test ! Sorry to all my Indian fans, but given the pitch conditions, a hard, green bouncy & fast pitch – I think the Aussies will blow India away ! I hope Starc finds his form & gets 10 for the match & Finch gets a big 100.”
Here is how fans reacted to Warne’s comment:
Meanwhile, Australia won the toss and opted to bat first and have not lost a wicket yet. They are 47 for no loss.
