3rd T20I India vs New Zealand Predicted XI: Men in Blue would look to carry the momentum from the Auckland into the game at Hamilton. The Rohit Sharma-led outfit beat the Kiwis by seven wickets to level the ongoing three-match series. With no changes made in the first two games, are changes expected for the decider and if so who could be the changes. Yuzvendra Chahal has not lived up to the expectations as he proved expensive in both the games. He gave away 37 runs in his stipulated four overs at Eden Park and went wicketless. Considering it is an all-important decider, Rohit could contemplate playing Kuldeep Yadav in place of Chahal. He could also play both considering both plays well in tandem.
Another change that Rohit and the management could consider is giving young Shubman Gill a game and allow him to get some runs under his belt as it would do his confidence a world of good after two failures in the ODI series. Shankar has not been consistent with the ball or the bat, hence the management should look beyond him for the last game. The rest of the side can be the same as all of them are playing their roles to perfection and the balance looks good.
“Very pleased to see how we bowled, and we were quite clinical with the bat as well. We have quality in our side, but we executed our plans better today, after learning from our mistakes,” said Rohit at the post-match presentation.
“It’s important to understand the mistakes that we made – it’s been a long tour for everyone. So we didn’t want to put a lot of pressure on the boys, just go in there with a clear mind.” The series decider will be played at Hamilton on Sunday.
“It’s going to be a cracker of a game in the 3rd T20I, but nothing to take away from New Zealand, they’re still a quality side,” Rohit said.
