Australia vs India 3rd Test Melbourne: It was a memorable moment for seven-year-old Archie Schiller who got his baggy green cap from Nathan Lyon ahead of the Boxing Day Test against India at the iconic MCG. Young Archie also accompanied captain Tim Paine for the toss which the Indian team won and decided to bat in the third Test. “Hit sixes and get wickets”, was the boy’s message for the team before the start of the Test. Schiller is the co-captain for the Test. The young leg-spinner got this opportunity, thanks to Make a Wish Foundation, Australia. The young kid has also attended the practice session with the Australian team.

After surviving a wicketless first hour, India suffered the first blow when Pat Cummins dismissed Vihari (8 off 66), but by then the new ball was seen off. India has made the most after winning the toss. At the time of filing the copy, India was 113/1. Mayank Agarwal had already slammed his maiden fifty and was looking set for a hundred.

The series locked 1-1 after India winning the opening Test in Adelaide and the hosts taking the second in Perth.
