5th ODI: India captain Virat Kohli departed early in a 273 chase at Feroz Shah Kotla during the ongoing 5th and final ODI against Australia. With the series on the line, Kohli needed to get a big one after Dhawan was out cheaply but that was not to be. It was Marcus Stoinis who tempted Kohli to go for an extravagant drive only to find a thin tickle to Alex Carey. Kohli knew it straightaway as he started walking. Kohli was fuming as he walked back to the dressing room knowing very well that it was an important breakthrough for the visitors. Kohli scored 20 off 22 balls. His innings was laced with two boundaries.

Meanwhile, the wicket sends Kotla crowd in utter shock as they could not believe that the local hero was gone. A lot was expected from Kohli as he has been in good form in the ongoing five-match ODI series. Earlier, Kohli slammed a couple of centuries in the tournament as well.
Australia posted a decent 272/8 in their stipulated 50 overs, thanks to Usman Khawaja’s ton.
For India, Bhuvneshwar Kumar was the pick of the bowlers as he scalped three wickets. Shami and Jadeja chipped in with a couple apiece as well.
