Afghanistan Premier League 2018: Former Pakistan cricketer Shahid Afridi is playing the ongoing Afghanistan Premier League. He is a part of the Patkia Panthers outfit. Recently, during a match against the Nangarhar Leopards the veteran cricketer lost his cool and gave a fiery send-off after getting the wicket of Anton Devcich. Afridi clean bowled the batsman and then showed him the dressing room. This is not the first time Afridi has been spotted losing his cool.
The tournament is being played in Sharjah and some of the biggest names in cricket like Mohammed Shahzad and Rashid Khan are also taking participating. International players like Mitchell McClenaghan and Ben Cutting are also a part of the league. Paktia Panthers won the toss and opt to bat and they posted a total of 184. Captain Shazad top-scored with 53 as Ben Cutting picked three scalps.
Eventually, Paktia Panthers won by 21 runs. Afridi returned with figures of 24/1 in his stipulated four overs. The Patkia Panthers are on the second spot in the points table with eight points from six games, whereas Nangarhar Leopards are on the fourth spot with four points from seven games. Leopards will look to win a few games soon in order to climb up the ladder.
