Team India pacer Jasprit Bumrah and his wife Sanjan Ganesan are both currently in the United Arab Emirates at the moment. While Bumrah is leading the Indian bowling attack in the Asia Cup 2025 tournament, his wife Sanjana is busy working with the host broadcasters Sony Sports Network.

On Wednesday, during India’s Super 4 match against Bangladesh at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, their paths crossed once again. On the sidelines of India’s bowling effort to defend the 169-run target, Sanjana Ganesan was seen speaking to the star cast of hit Netflix web series ‘The Ba***ds of Bollywood’ directed by Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan.

Bollywood stars Bobby Deol and Raghav Juyal were in Dubai International Cricket Stadium and spoke to Sanjana Ganesan for the host broadcasters. Towards the end of the interaction, Raghav Juyal encouraged Sanjana Ganesan to recreate his iconic dialogue from the web-series with a twist.

While Raghav Juyal’s dialogue was “Akkhi duniya ek taraf, Emraan Hashmi ek taraf”, the new version for Sanjana was “Akkhi Duniya ek taraf, mera Bumrah ek taraf” referring to her star India cricketer husband Jasprit Bumrah. Raghav revealed that Bumrah was his favourite cricketer and the video soon went viral on social media.

Meanwhile, Bumrah bounced back from a scratchy performance in the last Super 4 match against Pakistan to somewhere near his best against Bangladesh on Wednesday. The Indian pacer had brilliant figures of 2/18 in 4 overs while dismissing both Bangladesh openers.

Bumrah also claimed the massive wicket of Bangladesh top-scorer Saif Hassan, who scored 69 off 51 balls with 5 sixes and 3 fours after being reprieved with at least 4 dropped catches.

His teammate Varun Chakravarthy revealed that the only aim for the Indian side is to pick up wickets in the Powerplay overs. “In Powerplay, the only aim is to look for wickets. It’s just looking for that one ball if it pitches on that right spot and it turns a little bit and it can edge it. It’s about looking for that because that’s my role in the team.

“Even if I go for little runs, my aim is to keep on attacking and try to look for more wickets,” Chakravarthy said after the match.
