Liverpool and Brazil international Allison Becker made a crucial more than just match-saving save for his club in the 1-0 win against Napoli in the Champions League on Tuesday. The save made was at the 92nd minute, when Becker was one-on-one against Milik and from a very close angle – it was a very difficult angle from the goalkeeper’s point and to make matters more difficult, Milik struck it perfectly as he lofted it on but Becker spread himself and managed to make that save, and everyone on the internet just cant stop talking about it.
The match and the save was pivotal because Liverpool needed a 1-0 win to qualify for the round of 16 in the Champions League and the save was made right at the brink of time on the 93rd minute of the game – had that gone in the Jurgen Klopp’s side would have no time to recover.

When Allison Becker was purchased from Napoli earlier in the summer, Liverpool paid a staggering €62.5 million (£56m) to Italian club AS Roma for his services- he is the second most expensive goalkeeper in the history of football. After the match, Jurgen Klopp joked that had he known that Becker was this goof, he would have paid double the amount.

The players also commented on that save made by Liverpool’s Allision Becker: “[Allison is] great character, a great guy and he help us all. He gives confidence to everyone,” said Liverpool defender Virgil Van Dijk about Allison after the full-time whistle. Whereas Andrew Robertson said, “It’s an unbelievable save that Alisson has pulled off.”
