Anil Kumble is Team India’s new coach & Twitterati give thumbs up to Jumbo

Not often fans are happy with BCCI's decision

Putting all the speculation to end, Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) named former captain Anil Kumble as head coach of team India. There were few names like Ravi Shastri, Tom Moody, Stuart Law, Lalchand Rajput and Pravin Amre doing rounds as well. Even before BCCI announced Kumble’s names as a coach, the former Test captain was trending on Twitter. It seemed the Twitterati had already made their choice.

And once it was out that ‘Jumbo’ will be the head coach, Anil Kumble became the top trend. The cricket lovers welcomed BCCI’s decision to give the responsibility to Kumble, and that was pretty evident from the tweets pouring in. The majority of them echoed BCCI’s choice. India’s upcoming tour of West Indies will be the first assignment for Kumble. India travels to Carribean for a four-match Test series, starting July 21, 2016. Kumble has never coached before and has minimum experience in this area. However, he has been a mentor of Royal Challengers Bangalore and Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League.
