Tendulkar junior always garners eyeballs whenever he takes to the field in a competitive match and in the on-going under-nineteen one-day domestic tournament, the bowler was in top form against Assam, at the Lalbhai Contractor Stadium, Surat. The 19-year-old scalped three wickets for 14 in seven overs fostering his team’s hammering of Assam, as Mumbai defeated them by ten wickets in the round eight of the Vinoo Mankad tournament. Assam batted first, and Arjun’s wicket of opener Danish Ahmed for just one run at the initial stages of the first innings was the start of what would go on to be a battering. Tendulkar came back at the later stages of the first innings to scalp the wickets of tail-enders Hrishikesh Borah (1) and Rituraj Biswas (0). Mumbai’s other bowlers also displayed a good form with Divyaansh claiming 2/6, Atharva Poojari taking 1/11 and Aakash Vikram Sharma also bowling well 1/20 to add to Assam’s misery as they fell for a 99-run all-out.



Mumbai openers Yashasvi Jaiswal and Suved Parkar took it slow and looked composed as they achieved the 100-run target in 21.5 overs.

Earlier this month, also displayed an impressive performance against Gujarat taking five wickets for thirty. 2018 would mark the final year for Arjun Tendulkar in the U-19 team as he turns 20 next year and with his impressive form, his inclusion in the team seems inevitable.
