London, April 20: Arsene Wenger might not have concluded his time with the London football giants, Arsenal FC as one of the most successful coaches in the English Premier League (EPL) history, but during his 22 years with the club, he etched his name in the record books holding quite a few of them.
The Frenchman (823) managed more matches than any mangers in the English football staying above Manchester United’s legendary coach Sir Alex Ferguson who had took charge of 810 fixtures.
Wenger, also defeated former Mancehseter United boss – David Moyes – 21 time – the most by any manager.
Meanwhile, Arsenal legend Thiery Henry (175) has scored the most goals under Wenger than any other managers in the world. He also has the most FA Cup titles (7) to his name.
Earlier, Wenger, while parting ways with Arsenal said: “After careful consideration and following discussions with the club, I feel it is the right time for me to step down at the end of the season. I am grateful for having had the privilege to serve the club for so many memorable years. I managed the club with full commitment and integrity.
“I want to thank the staff, the players, the Directors and the fans who make this club so special. I urge our fans to stand behind the team to finish on a high. To all the Arsenal lovers take care of the values of the club. My love and support for ever.”
