Asia Cup 2018 Finals, India vs Bangladesh: Ahead of the summit clash where India take on Bangladesh it is heart-warming to see that Pakistan cricketers in Dubai are wishing India all the very best. Recently, poor performance and not making it to the finals of the Asia Cup drew a lot of flak for Sarfaraz Ahmed and Co. Pakistan was expected to meet with India in the finals, but that was not to be as Bangladesh held their nerves to beat Pakistan by 36 runs in the virtual semis ahead of today’s summit clash. This is a group of cricketers from Pakistani origin who play with their Indian friends in a local club in Dubai.

ABP did the story on them and here is the video. It was posted by WahCricket.

There was a huge build-up to India vs Pakistan encounter in the Asia Cup as the men in Green had got the better of India in the last years Champions Trophy final. Hence, Pakistani went on overdrive mode to take a dig at India at whatever opportunity they got. They even questioned the reason behind Kohli resting to Gambhir who gave a befitting reply when the Indian said that India does not need Virat to beat Pakistan and that is exactly how it panned out as India beat Pakistan twice in the tournament.

Meanwhile, when Bangladesh take on India in the Asia Cup 2018 final on Friday, wicketkeeper-batsman Mushfiqur Rahim will be one batsman which the Men in Blue would be eyeing to get early. Mushfiqur has been in stupendous form in the ongoing edition of the biennial tournament. After scoring a breathtaking 144 to help Bangladesh defeat five-time champions Sri Lanka in the group stage, he came out with a brilliant 99 against Pakistan to help his team set a summit clash date with favourites and defending champions India.

And ahead of the finals, he would be having a chance to overhaul Virat Kohli’s Asia Cup record. The 31-year-old—-who has 734 runs from 25 matches in Asia Cup— if manages to score 33 runs in the finals at the Dubai International Stadium, will surpass Kohli’s tally of 766 runs to become the sixth-highest run-getter in the tournament.

The list is headed by Sri Lankan legends Sanath Jayasuriya (1220 runs) and Kumar Sangakkara (1075 runs), followed by India’s Sachin Tendulkar (971 runs) and Pakistan’s Shoaib Malik (907 runs).
