Asia Cup 2018 Super Four clash, India vs Pakistan Highlights: Stand-in captain Rohit Sharma and his deputy Shikhar Dhawan continued their red-hot form in white ball cricket with dominating hundreds as India crush arch-rivals Pakistan by nine wickets to register their second straight victory in the super four stage of ongoing Asia Cup 2018. With this emphatic win, the men in blue have stormed into the finals of the continental series, hosted in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

Interestingly, this is India’s biggest win against traditional rivals Pakistan in terms of the number of wickets lost. Chasing a target of 238, Rohit (111 no off 119 balls) and Dhawan (114 off 100 balls) flayed the Pakistan attack adding 210 runs for the opening stand to seal their second lopsided victory in the tournament in only 39.3 overs.

It was Rohit’s third successive fifty 50 plus score in the tournament with the sequence being 52, 83 no and 111 no.

Dhawan’s is even more impressive with 127, 46, 40 and 114. One of the most fearsome opening pairs in ODI format, Rohit-Dhawan combination were helped by some ordinary bowling from Pakistan with equally sloppy fielding compounding their woes.

Their understanding in 22 yards is exemplary and as Dhawan teed off witha flurry of boundaries, Rohit was ready to hold one end up.

Dhawan, who is comfortable on pitches where there is lack of movement played some lovely drives on the up. He also pulled with ferocity and cut anything wide. Rohit’s first significant shot was a pulled six off rookie pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi.

The southpaw also gave the same treatment to a woefully out of form Mohammed Aamir (0/41 in 5 overs). Dhawan’s 50 came off 56 balls with a pulled boundary while Rohit took 65 balls to reach the mini-milestone.

Asia Cup 2018, IND vs PAK Latest Updates: As far as Dhawan is concerned, well, he has become the king in ODIs. Very seldom does he fail with the ball not doing much and today he added another century to his kitty. He has been in excellent shape throughout the tournament and will be hoping to end this final week in Dubai in the same fashion.
What is it about Pakistan? Started brilliantly against Hong Kong, then slumped against India, scraped through against Bangladesh and tonight again, stuttered. They will be hoping to win their final fixture against Bangladesh on Wednesday and then put in their best performance in the final against India.

Asia Cup 2018, IND vs PAK Live Score and Updates: Easy-peasy. India have made a mockery of the run chase. Sorry. Dhawan and Rohit have crumpled Pakistan. Their 210-run stand literally did not allow the Men In Green to even think about the win. Everything was not totally rosy though. Dhawan was fluent but Rohit struggled in his initial phase. He survived a dropped chance but then made that count. Once he got to his 50, he assumed a different role altogether. Consider this – he reached his 50 on his 65th ball and in the next 54 balls, he clobbered 61. Overall, it may not be a massive difference but the one who saw the game will understand the progression.

Full and outside off, Rayudu looks to flick but gets a leading edge towards cover. He is halfway down the track but Rohit is looking back to check where the ball is. Still, Rayudu goes for the run and the fielder shows lack of game awareness. Instead of going to Rohit’s end, he goes at the bowler’s end and misses the stumps.
