Asia Cup 2018: With the India vs Pakistan clash in the Asia Cup hours away, Pakistan fast bowler Hasan Ali has revealed his favourite wicket. He feels it is the wicket of former India captain MS Dhoni, that has been his most favourite ever. In an interview with Cricbuzz he revealed it. “The last time I took three wickets in the Champions Trophy final, my favourite was MS Dhoni’s wicket. I am looking forward to bowling against him again.”

He also stressed on his fitness where he beat India captain Virat Kohli in overall points in the yo-yo score.

“Look I play all three formats and fitness is important to perform consistently at a certain level. That’s the reason why I have been focusing on my fitness,” said Ali who registered a score of 19.3 in yo-yo test.

Ali had picked up three Indian wickets in the finals. He got the wickets of Hardik Pandya, MS Dhoni, and Ravichandran Ashwin. His good effort along with Mohammed Amir’s 3 for 16 saw India fold out for a paltry 158, chasing a whopping 338 to win.

That loss will be fresh in the mind of this current crop of players, who will look to avenge the defeat in Dubai. The Pakistan pacer has grown ever since, in 34 ODI matches he has featured for Pakistan he has scalped 70 wickets at an average of 20.55.

It will be intriguing to see if he is given the ball when Dhoni comes to bat and will he get the precious wicket again.

He is currently at the peak of his abilities and is also the current World No 1 ODI bowler.

Meanwhile, Pakistan has got off to a good start in the tournament beating Hong Kong by eight wickets.

“As a captain, I saw a couple of things which we should work on. For us to go the distance in the tournament, we should have won this game (against Hong Kong) by nine or 10 wickets.

“We also need to ball better with the new ball. We need to get early wickets with the new ball. It didn’t swing for us with the new ball, that is alarming for us,” Sarfraz said after the match.
