Pakistan reached the Asia Cup final against India after a tough 11-run win over Bangladesh in their Super Fours match on Thursday.
Defending a low total of 135/8, Pakistan’s bowlers kept things tight and held Bangladesh to 124/9 in 20 overs.
Shaheen Shah Afridi led the bowling attack with figures of 3 for 17, while Haris Rauf did well in the later overs, taking 3 for 33.
Saim Ayub (2 for 16) and Mohammad Nawaz (1 for 14) also chipped in with key wickets to help Pakistan stay in control.
Bangladesh had Pakistan under pressure at 71/6 in the 14th over after choosing to bowl first. However, they let the game slip with poor fielding and missed chances.
Late contributions from Mohammad Haris (31 off 23 balls) and Mohammad Nawaz (25 off 15 balls) gave Pakistan a boost, helping them score 80 runs in the last eight overs and reach a decent total.
Taskin Ahmed was Bangladesh’s best bowler, picking up 3 for 28. Rishad Hossain (2 for 18) and Mahedi Hasan (2 for 28) also bowled well.
This win sets up a third meeting between India and Pakistan in this tournament — they’ve already faced off in the group stage and again in the Super Fours.
Match Summary:
Pakistan – 135/8 in 20 overs (Mohammad Haris 31; Taskin Ahmed 3/28, Rishad Hossain 2/18, Mahedi Hasan 2/28)
Bangladesh – 124/9 in 20 overs (Shamim Hossain 30; Shaheen Afridi 3/17, Haris Rauf 3/33)
Result: Pakistan won by 11 runs
Asia Cup 2025 Super 4, Pakistan vs Bangladesh Live Scores: After 19 overs, Bangladesh is struggling at 113 runs for 9 wickets and needs 23 runs from the last over to beat Pakistan’s total of 135. Rishad Hossain (6 runs from 6 balls) and Mustafizur Rahman (6 runs from 3 balls) have scored some quick runs, but 23 runs from 6 balls is still very hard. Haris Rauf and Faheem Ashraf have bowled strongly, taking three important wickets. With most batsmen out and Pakistan in charge, it looks very likely that Pakistan will win unless something amazing happens in the final over.
Asia Cup 2025 Super 4, Pakistan vs Bangladesh Live Scores: Bangladesh lost another player in the 17.4th over as Taskin Ahmed got out for 4 runs from 2 balls, including a four, caught and bowled by Haris Rauf. The score dropped to 104 for 9, with Pakistan’s bowlers controlling the game in the final overs. Rauf’s strong bowling destroyed the lower batsmen, leaving Bangladesh with very little chance to reach a good total. The chance of Bangladesh winning has become very low, and Pakistan looks set to win easily. Their smart and careful bowling has made it hard for Bangladesh to fight back.
Asia Cup 2025 Super 4, Pakistan vs Bangladesh Live Scores: Bangladesh scored 5 runs in the 16th over, with Shamim Hossain fighting hard on 30 from 23 balls. Tanzim Hasan Sakib has added 4 runs off 6 balls, helping to keep things ticking. Saim Ayub kept the pressure on with a tight over, giving away only 5 runs and having taken two wickets so far. With 60 runs still needed from the last four overs, the chase looks difficult. Bangladesh is depending on Hossain to speed up the scoring, but Pakistan remains in a strong position.
Asia Cup 2025 Super 4, Pakistan vs Bangladesh Live Scores: Bangladesh loses another key wicket as Jaker Ali is out for 5 runs from 9 balls, caught by Mohammad Nawaz off Saim Ayub’s bowling. With the score at 68 for 6 in 13.5 overs, Pakistan has taken full control of the match. The required run rate has jumped to over 9.7, and the lower-order batters now have a tough challenge ahead. Pakistan’s bowlers, especially Saim Ayub and Mohammad Nawaz, have stuck to a smart and tight plan, making it very hard for Bangladesh to stay in the game. This shows how important regular wickets are when defending a total.
Asia Cup 2025 Super 4, Pakistan vs Bangladesh Live Scores: After 11 overs, Bangladesh is 62 for 4 and needs 74 runs from 54 balls, with the run rate going up to 8.22. Shamim Hossain (12 from 11 balls) and Nurul Hasan (16 from 18) are trying to rebuild the innings after early wickets. Mohammad Nawaz and Abrar Ahmed have bowled well, taking a wicket and stopping big hits, keeping Pakistan in control. The middle order is under pressure, but a quick 30-40 run partnership could help Bangladesh get back into the game. Right now, Pakistan has about a 68% chance to win, but Bangladesh can still win if their hitters score fast and find the gaps.
Asia Cup 2025 Super 4, Pakistan vs Bangladesh Live Scores: At the halfway point, Bangladesh is 58 for 4 and still needs 78 runs from 60 balls, with the required run rate climbing to around 7.8. Nurul Hasan (14 from 16 balls) and Shamim Hossain (10 from 7) have added some energy to the innings, each hitting a six to keep the runs coming. Pakistan’s bowlers, Abrar Ahmed and Saim Ayub, have bowled tightly, not giving away easy runs and keeping up the pressure. With four wickets already lost, Bangladesh’s middle order has a big task ahead. Pakistan has about a 70% chance of winning, though a strong partnership could still change the game.
Asia Cup 2025 Super 4, Pakistan vs Bangladesh Live Scores: After 7 overs, Bangladesh are in trouble at 38 for 3 and still need 98 runs from 78 balls. The top-order has already fallen, and now Nurul Hasan (8 from 9 balls) and Mahedi Hasan (7 from 6) are trying to rebuild the innings. The required run rate has gone above 7.5. Pakistan’s bowlers, especially Haris Rauf and Abrar Ahmed, have bowled with good control, keeping the pressure on. In T20s, chasing 136 with three wickets lost during the powerplay lowers the chance of winning to about 35–40%. A solid middle-order stand is needed now — another wicket could give Pakistan a big edge in the game.
Asia Cup 2025 Super 4, Pakistan vs Bangladesh Live Scores: Bangladesh are struggling at 36 for 3 while chasing 136. Early wickets taken by Shaheen Shah Afridi and Haris Rauf have put Pakistan in a strong position. Mahedi Hasan (6 from 5 balls) and Nurul Hasan (7 from 4 balls) are trying to rebuild the innings, but with a required run rate of 7.14, they need to keep the scoreboard moving. Pakistan’s fast bowlers have made the ball move enough to make the batters cautious, and if more wickets fall soon, Bangladesh’s lower order will be under pressure. Right now, Pakistan has about a 70–75% chance of winning unless Bangladesh can form a solid partnership soon. The next five overs will be very important.
Asia Cup 2025 Super 4, Pakistan vs Bangladesh Live Scores: Haris Rauf bowls fast, with one ball at 144.9 km/h that almost got a wicket. Hassan takes advantage of balls that are short and wide, hitting them towards backward point and deep square leg. Pakistan are still in control with Afridi and Rauf bowling well, but Bangladesh are fighting back and keeping the run rate under control at 7.06.
Asia Cup 2025 Super 4, Pakistan vs Bangladesh Live Scores: After 3 overs, Bangladesh are at 12 for 1, managing only 3 runs in the third over. Saif Hassan is on 8 from 8 balls with one six, while Towhid Hridoy has 4 from 8 balls. Both are trying to build the innings but haven’t picked up the pace yet. Pakistan’s Shaheen Shah Afridi got an early wicket, and Faheem Ashraf has kept things tight with his bowling.
