Jinson Johnson won the gold at men’s 1500m race finals, recording a time of 3:44:72 minutes. Johnson’s medal marks India’s 12th gold of the Asian Games 2018 campaign. India’s medal tally rose to 57 medals, comprising- 12 Golds, 20 Silvers and 25 Bronze.
India’s Achanta Sharath Kamal has won the fourth game 11-5 against Pakistan’s Muhammad Asim Qureshi and won the tie 4-0 to progress to the Round of 16.

Squash is another event where Indians would be hopeful they can add to the tally. Meanwhile, India currently stands at the ninth spot in Asian Games medals tally with – 11 Gold, 20 Silver and 23 Bronze taking their total tally to 54.
In all likelihood, the Indian contingent will be looking to eclipse its total medal tally from Incheon four years ago, with a number of medals on offer on the twelfth day.
