ATP World Tour quarterfinals 2016: Novak Djokovic beaten by Marin Cilic!

Paris, November 5: World No.1 tennis star Novak Djokovic was beaten by Marin Cilic in the ATP World Tour quarterfinals 2016 in Paris on Friday, November 4. The upset has further depleted Novak Djokovic’s current receding form. Marin Cilic beat Novak Djokovic in two sets – 6-4, 7-6(2) – in a game that lasted one hour and 45 minutes. The ATP Masters 1000 tournament also has Andy Murray in the quarterfinals, and Novak Djokovic’s ouster is good news for him. Andy Murray needs to beat Tomas Berdych on his way to the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals 2016.

According to the ATP World Tour website, Marin Cilic has beaten Novak Djokovic on his 15th attempt – finally! The Croatian player beat the world champion in the BNP Paribas Masters tournament in Paris. Marin Cilic who had already qualified for the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals 2016, is to beat American player John Isner in the ATP World Tour semi-final on Saturday, November 5.
