Australia vs England 2018 1st ODI Statistical Preview: From Jos Buttler’s 5000 Runs to Eoin Morgan’s 20000 Runs, Records That Can be Broken
English skipper Eoin Morgan has 19884 runs across all formats. He is 16 short of completing 20000 international runs across formats.
Australia take on England in a 5-match ODI series starting June 13. The 1st ODI will be played at London. England are the hosts but they walk in to the tournament on the back of a shocking loss to Scotland by 6 runs. For Australia, it will be about coming out of the shadow of ball-tampering as they start afresh under new captain Tim Paine. Australia will be missing the services of their star players like Steve Smith and David Warner, hence it is a second-string side they would field against England.
Here are the milestones that players can breach.
Jonny Bairstow is in the form of his life, slamming centuries in all his previous three games. He needs just one more century to become the 2nd player after Kumar Sangakkara to hit four consecutive ODI tons.
Moeen Ali is currently on 499 wickets across formats. He needs just a solitary wicket to touch the 500-wicket mark. Meanwhile, Tom Curran needs two more wickets to complete 100 wickets in List A cricket.

Adil Rashid, the leggie is just 5 short of reaching the 100 international wickets mark. If he does it, he becomes the 2nd English spinner after Graeme Swann to reach the feat in 50-over cricket. Rashid is also two wickets shy of picking 900 First Class wickets.
