Australia vs India 1st Test Adelaide: Young Prithvi Shaw posted a throwback with his mentor former batting legend Sachin Tendulkar. Both the cricketers are hail from the same state and are often compared with each other as both became superstars early in their careers. Shaw often practices with Sachin Tendulkar in his coaching camp and was recently seen training together before the Indian team departed for Australia.

Unfortunately, Shaw is set to miss the first Test after he picked up an ankle injury during the practice game against Cricket Australia XI.

The post seemed like Shaw has been missing his mentor hence he shared a picture with him on his Instagram page. The caption was high on inspiration quotient. It read, “I believe if one would always look up to the skies, one would end up with wings.”

Earlier in the day, India coach spoke to Cricket Australia and confirmed that Shaw would be considered for the Boxing Day Test, starting December 26.

“It was heartbreaking to see him go down. But the good thing is he’s recovering quickly. He’s already started walking. Hopefully if we can get him to run a bit by the weekend, that’s really good signs. With youth on his side there might just be a case where he might recover quicker. We’ll make a call as and when we get closer to Perth,” Shastri was quoted as saying in cricket.com.au.

Shaw picked up the injury during the tour game at Sydney, where a day before he slammed a 69-ball 66 and it was laced with 11 boundaries.
