Live Cricket Score AUS vs IND, 3rd Test MCG: Just 6 overs were possible, but plenty of action in them. India would have liked a wicket or two, Ishant, Bumrah and Jadeja all applied the pressure, especially Bumrah, but it didn’t happen as Finch and Harris somehow managed to survive. India declared after posting 443/7 on the board, and that came after a lot of hard work. A good start from the openers, Pujara’s resilience, Kohli’s class, followed by Rohit and Pant’s free-flowing hitting got the visitors there. Day 3 is going to be a big one. The surface is still good for batting for the most part, but it’s turning now and the variable bounce is causing problems too, as we saw earlier in the Indian innings. It’ll be a different challenge for both sides. The action begins at 1030 local (2330 GMT, Previous Day). Join in for that. Cheers!

Live Cricket Score AUS vs IND, 3rd Test MCG: Beaten! Beautiful bowling by Bumrah. At 148 kph, Bumrah pitches it on a length on off. It comes in first, then moves away ever so late. Beats the outside edge of Marcus Harris’ bat and goes to Rishabh Pant behind.

Live Cricket Updates AUS vs IND 3rd Test MCG: Nasty! A sharp and accurate bouncer from Bumrah catches Harris on the helmet as he looks to duck under it. He quickly takes his helmet off, the Indian players walk up to check on him. We have a slight halt in play as the physio is out to have a look at Marcus Harris. He seemed fine, and should be okay to continue as well. But a quick scan wouldn’t hurt anyone. AUS 5/0 vs IND (443/7)

Live Cricket Score AUS vs IND, 3rd Test MCG: Nearly… nearly. A significant movement back in from around off, on a length, Finch just about manages to work it to backward square leg somehow. A single is taken. End of an eventful first over from Ishant. Australia 2/0 vs India (443/7)

Dominant display of batting by the Indians!

3rd Test Melbourne, Australia vs India Highlights: Australian openers survived the early jitters to post 8/0 at stumps on Day 2 of the third Test after India declared their first innings at a mammoth 443/7 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) on Thursday. Aaron Finch (3*) and Marcus Harris (5 not out) went back unscathed after the Indian new ball duo of Ishant Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah bowled some hostile stuff to spice things up for an exciting contest on Day 3.

Earlier, India’s massive total was powered by a classic century from Cheteshwar Pujara (106) and excellent half-centuries from skipper Virat Kohli (82), debutant opener Mayank Agarwal (76) and Rohit Sharma (63 not out). To add to Australia’s woes, Indian Vice Captain Ajinkya Rahane (34) and stumper Rishabh Pant (39) also got decent starts and more importantly, were engaged in crucial partnerships with Rohit. Resuming the final session at 346/4, India lost Rahane quickly to his old nemesis, Nathan Lyon, who sweated for 40 overs to get that one wicket in India’s first essay. (Read Full Day 1 Report Here)
