Australia vs India 3rd Test Melbourne: Debutant Mayank Agarwal was unbeaten on 34 as India went into lunch on 57 for one on Day 1 of the Boxing Day Test. It seems India’s opening woes have come to an end as Hanuma Vihari and Agarwal showed great temperament in the first session at Melbourne. It has to be said that Mayank Agarwal looked comfortable taking on the pacers from Australia. Murali Vijay and KL Rahul had failed in the first two Tests and a lot of debate took place over who should open, but finally, it seems Mayank has put that debate to rest as of now, which is great from India’s point of view.
Here is how Twitter reacted to Mayank Agarwal’s knock.
India went into lunch at 57/1 which means the first session belonged to India. This is what India would have been hoping for after Virat Kohli won the toss and opted to bat first.
