Bangladesh pacer Mustafizur Rahman is expected to miss part of the IPL 2026 season, according to India Today. He was purchased by Shah Rukh Khan’s KKR for Rs 9.2 crore in the IPL 2026 auction, while Sri Lanka’s Matheesha Pathirana was bought for Rs 18 crore.

Bangladesh Cricket Board confirmed that Mustafizur will be unavailable

According to the report, sources from the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) confirmed that Mustafizur will be unavailable for games between April 16 and 23. The IPL 2026 matches during this period overlap with Bangladesh’s home ODI and T20I series against New Zealand.

IPL 2026 is expected to take place from March 26 to May 31. While Mustafizur is not a regular in Bangladesh’s ODI team, he is an important player in their T20I side. The report added that the cricket board will give him a partial No Objection Certificate (NOC), allowing him to skip the ODI series and return to India after completing the T20I matches.
