
Three-time Olympic champions Balbir Singh Sr was a part of the first episode of Season 3 Mumkin Hai on Satyamev Jayate on Sunday and said that Indian sport needs to develop from the grass-root level in order to allow Indian players to excel at a global level. The episode was centred around the theme ‘Let’s Play India’.
Indian batsman Yuvraj Singh said that the passion to play for India again helped him recover from cancer when he appeared in the episode. The left-hander also urged the youngsters of Punjab to take up sports and leave intoxication
Earlier Sachin Tendulkar said that sport in the country is discouraged as more importance is given to academics. Through the medium of the show, he not only thanked his professors who gave him the confidence of following his passion in sports, but also asked the other schools and teachers to encourage children to encourage more passionately in the sport.
Aamir Khan’s initiative to bring about change in the Indian society has really proved to be productive. His show Satyamev Jayate has been a total hit since the first season and the most remarkable part about it is that people just stayed with Aamir’s drive to make change happen. Aamir’s efforts have yielded results and it can be reflected by the change it’s bringing. Though not on a mass level, change always matters.
