Hosts New Zealand lead the three-match T20 series 1-0 and will be looking to clinch the series today at Mount Maunganui. Bay Oval hosts the second and penultimate T20I. Kane Williamson led from the front and helped his side take the lead in the series. The Kiwi skipper scored unbeaten 73 as the home side chased down 142 with six wickets and two overs to spare. Colin de Grandhomme provided his captain with a valuable support by scoring 22-ball 41 in an 81-run unbeaten stand for the fifth wicket.

Kiwi bowlers dominated in the first T20I as Bangladesh top-order fell apart. The visiting side was reduced to 30 for four. It was Mahmudullah who took his side to a respectable total of 141. Hosts Kiwi will be boosted by the return of pacer Trent Boult who was rested for last final ODI and opening T20I. Neil Broom, who scored just six runs in the opening T20I, has been ruled out of last two T20Is due to a fractured finger and George Worker will take his place in the squad. And he is likely to open the innings with Williamson.
