Lionel Messi has won 'The Best Goal Ever' scored in a Barcelona jersey for his sensational effort against Getafe. The Argentine was just 19 years old when he struck the goal, which was a piece of art.
Argentine international Lionel Messi has added yet another accolade is his glittering trophy cabinet – he has won Barcelona’s best goal ever scored. The footballer, now 31, had scored the goal against Getafe when he was just 19 years old. The effort was absolutely sensational as he drilled past literally the entire defense of the opposing team to score the goal.
Even at that age when he was up against players who are way more experienced than him, Messi it look so easy and appealing to the eyes. The match against Getafe was during the semi-finals of the Copa del Rey 2006/07.
The final stage of the competition began on 20 March and four goals made it through which had three goals by Messi and one by Sergi Roberto.

Out of the four entries, Messi’s run against Getafe received 45 per cent of the total votes, beating his efforts against Athletic Club in the Copa final (28%) and in the Bernabeu in the Champions League (16%).
Sergi Roberto’s againsy Paris Saint Germain in the 2016/17 Champions League received 11% placing it fourth on the list.
The competition began three months back and more than 500,000 votes were casted had 63 entries.
