World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) released Batista in 2011 and since then the former multi-time world champion has only made appearances on some special events. Batista’s journey has added another figure to the successful wrestler turned actor’s list. He has starred in popular movies like “Drax the Destroyer” in Marvel’s film “Guardians of the Galaxy. Popularly known as ‘The Animal’ among wrestling fans, Batista has also created a good fan-following through his movies, famously starring in mega-blockbuster ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ last year.

According to several reports, Batista could now make his in-ring return. Notwithstanding the fact he would still have his career as an actor going, the former WWE star has not ruled out a return and in particular, to face his old rival Triple H in Wrestlemania. In 2014, Batista had another small stint with the WWE, but he was booed by fans and the short-spell ended after a breakdown in ties between the company.

According to Pro Wrestling Sheet (PWS), Batista is in talks with the professional wrestling giants for a match at WrestleMania 35 but nothing has been signed yet. However, WWE is not the only company looking to sign ‘The Animal’. All Elite Wrestling (AEW), who have already roped in some big former WWE names like Cody Rhodes, Chris Jericho among others. The AEW company is being majorly funded by billionaire Khan family.

“We’re told there’s been interest expressed to Dave from All Elite Wrestling and he isn’t turning them away. Our sources say he’s listening to what both companies have to offer,” PWS said.

Recently in weekly show SmackDown’s 1000 episodes anniversary, Batista made a return with Evolution and doing so, he mocked Triple H saying he has done everything but defeated him and that sparked a non-violent tiff between the two iconic wrestlers. This incident is another proof that there could possibly be a match after all. If it will happen in Wrestlemania 35, we will have to wait and see but as history suggests, never rule out surprises at the grandest stage in wrestling entertainment.
