BCCI is looking for a Whopping Rs 4500000000 sponsorship deal after Dream 11 backs out, says Reports, front runner is..
New Delhi:The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is currently looking for a big sponsorship deal. According to reports, the board is preparing to make a deal of about Rs 450 crore for the period from 2025 to 2028. This step was taken when Dream11 ended its partnership with the board due to the Online Gaming Act 2025. This bill of the government gave a big blow to the online gaming companies and due to this, BCCI has to find a new sponsor.
Relationship with Dream11 broken
BCCI secretary DevajitSaikia confirmed that the board’s relationship with Dream11 has ended. He said that in the future, BCCI will not associate with any organization that is associated with online games involving financial transactions.
Concern increased before Asia Cup
The end of this agreement was no less than a shock for BCCI as well. The Rs 358 crore contract with Dream11 ended suddenly, and the board had to live without a main sponsor just before the Asia Cup. Despite this, the board has demanded Rs 458 crore for the new contract.
Target of earning per match
Under the new deal, the board has set a target to get Rs 3.5 crore from each bilateral match and Rs 1.5 crore from ICC and ACC events. This figure is more than Dream11 but slightly less than the deal given by Byju’s.
