Bengaluru Bulls vs Telugu Titans PKL 5: Bengaluru Beat Hyderabad 31-21

Bengaluru Bulls kicked off their 2017 Pro Kabbadi League campaign with a thumping 31-21 victory over Telugu Titans in Hyderabad on Sunday. This was Titans’ second defeat in back to back matches. In the last match, they lost to Patna Pirates.

Rohit Kumar of Bengaluru Bulls received the ‘Raider of the Match’ award while Mahender Singh won the ‘Player of the match’ award. At the same time, Bengaluru’s Ajay Kumar received the ‘Sahi he Player’ award.

Bengaluru scored 17 points from raids to notch up a victory in their opening match of the tournament. Telugu Titans won the first point of the match but as the first half progressed Bengaluru Bulls took a 12-6 lead in the match. Bulls’ Rohit Kumar earned 12 points in the match while Ajay Kumar earned seven points. However, Titans’ Nilesh Salunke got a point from touch to make it 10-14. But, Titans failed to surpass Bulls’ lead in the match. In the second half, Bengaluru Rohit Kumar made it 24-16. With 3 minutes left in the match Bulls got a point by tackling Chaudhari out of the mat. After that, a super raid of Rohit Kumar earned three points and two points subsequently. Finally, Bengaluru Bulls won the match by 10 points 31-21.
