Big Bash League 2018-19: Former New Zealand cricketer Brendon McCullum once again showed that why he is still one of the forces to reckon with in the shortest version of the game. During a Big Bash League game against the Melbourne Renegades, McCullum played a dil-scoop which was surreal, to say the least. Commentators felt it was more like a reverse sweep. The former Kiwi hit a breathtaking 50 off 47 balls, an innings that was laced with three fours and a six. The six came off the bowling of Dan Christian, who too was taken by surprise after McCullum played the shot.
Here is the video of the shot played by McCullum in the ninth over.
Earlier in the day, Melbourne Renegades won the toss and opt to bowl as Brisbane Heats set a total of 144/8 in their stipulated 20 overs. Usman Khan was the pick of the Renegades bowlers as he scalped three for 16 in his quota of four overs. It will not be an easy chase for Renegades as Mujeeb is in top form and will sure give migraines to the batsmen. His four overs will be crucial.
