The affiliation committee of the Board has already recommended full membership to Chhattisgarh as it remains to be seen whether Bihar get to fulfil their demand. Headed by Mritunjay Tiwary, BPA had been demanding full membership of the state and had earlier staged demonstration outside the residence of president Jagmohan Dalmiya.
“For 14 years, there has been no cricket in Bihar after the full membership was gone. There’s no future for Bihar cricketers, thousands of talents are nipped in the bud for lack of exposure,” Tiwary told PTI. The BCCI has already formed two separate ad-hoc committees for Bihar and Uttarkhand to be spearheaded by Niranjan Shah and M P Pandove respectively as they will function till the affiliation issues of the two states are resolved.
