World Wrestling Entertainment’s (WWE) pay-per-view event Royal Rumble recently concluded successfully and the Road to Wrestlemania got interesting, which saw some title change hands, while some retained. In the main event match between Brock Lesnar and Finn Balor, it was the ‘Beast incarnate’ who emerged victoriously. Lesnar has held the title for quite some time now but yet has the reputation of only making appearances very occasionally.

Recently, the WWE released a video, where Lesnar can be seen walking into the backstage after the match and throwing the title at the chairman, Vince McMahon. Amidst all the reports surfacing which suggests that Lesnar does not value the WWE title anymore and could even be making an appearance in UFC later in March this year, it probably was not the best move to make. Lesnar has been a world champion in UFC and will most-likely compete again in the octagon against Daniel Cormier.

In the Royal Rumble match, Lesnar faced a tough fight from Balor but in the end, his finishing maneuver was too much for his opponent and retained the Universal title.

Balor did not earn the match easily, initially, it was Braun Strowman who was going to battle it out with the beast. However, Strowman faced a fine for turning over Vince McMahon’s car. After his disqualification, a match was scheduled to define the replace number one contender for the universal title match against Lesnar in which Balor emerged victoriously. He pinned John Cena in a fatal-four-way match against Corbin and Drew McIntyre to earn the opportunity for the title clash at Royal Rumble.

Will there be repercussions for this incident, we are yet to see. But Lesnar’s attitude reflects that he may not be interested in staying the company for too long. And latest reports indicate that he will be in talks with other companies over a permanent move.
