Chelsea is set to host Manchester United on Monday in the fifth round of the FA Cup competition at the Stamford Bridge Stadium in London. The blockbuster match between the English giants will be a good opportunity for the two teams to take a step further is the quest of a silverware in the current campaign. Both the teams have suffered a lack of form in the Premier League, which is reduced to a two-horse race between rivals Manchester City and Liverpool.

On their previous encounter, Chelsea emerged victoriously in the Wembley Stadium with a one-nil victory which handed them their eighth title.

After going through a phase of good-form United were handed a two-nil defeat against French giants Paris Saint-Germain at the Old Trafford stadium earlier last week. Ole Gunnar Solksjaer – the new interim manager of Man United- will look to get the club back to winning ways. On the other hand, The Blues also haven’t quite relished a decent form. They were at the end of a six-nil battering against Machester City last week – it was the Mauricio Sarri led-Chelsea’s worse loss since defeat since the 7-0 defeat at Nottingham Forest in April 1991.

Both Solksjaer and Sarri will aim to get their teams a much-needed boost in the oldest football competition of the world.

Head To Head Records:

It will be their 14th encounter in the FA Cup when Chelsea take to the field against Manchester United. The Blues have won in their last four matches and are eyeing a unique record – five successive ties against United.

In all competitions as well, it is Chelsea who prevails with a better record. The Red Devils have won just two of their last 22 away games against Chelsea.
